National Maternity Hospital Dublin 2, Ireland

Overview

The National Maternity Hospital was established in 1894 to provide a continuously improving health service to the mothers and families of babies they care for. The hospital aims to achieve the highest attainable level of care for women, babies, families, and staff. Designer Group carried out the mechanical and electrical installation to the new consultancy, clinical and administration rooms in the refurbished block of the maternity hospital in Dublin 2. The project was challenged by the condition of the existing listed building and the site restrictions due to its city centre location.
