Safety, Quality and the Environment at Designer Group we regard the promotion of Safety, Quality and the Environment (SQE) as a priority at all levels within the organisation. Keep up to date with best practice in relation to health and safety

Stay Safe

Ensure, in so far as is reasonably practicable, those who undertake work on behalf of Designer Group apply the highest standards of health and safety for their employees

Safe Work Environment

Ensure, in so far as is reasonably practicable, a safe place of work and healthy environment including safe plant, equipment, systems of work and arrangements for the use, handling, storage and transport of articles, materials and substances;

Accident Prevention

To prevent, in so far as is reasonably practicable during the course of the work being undertaken, any accidents or dangerous occurrences


Health & Safety

Develop, implement and monitor health and safety regimes appropriate to work undertaken by Designer Group

Hazard Identification

Ensure procedures are in place for the ongoing hazard identification and assessment of risks arising from work activities to establish any controls required to keep such risks to acceptable levels

Up To Date Policies

Provide the necessary resources to implement and keep up to date policies as required to reflect changes within the company, technical advances and legislative developments

Safety Consultation

Consult with and involve employees in matters affecting health and safety


Provide Employees

Provide employees necessary training, supervision and equipment for operations/tasks performed appropriate to their roles and responsibilities within the Company


Consult and communicate health and safety issues with employees including any changes to working practices which may affect their health and safety; and competent persons are appointed to provide assistance and information on the current legislation, standards and codes of practice.


The success of this policy requires commitment from all employees, visitors, suppliers and contractors. It is the responsibility of each employee to observe all rules and procedures and co-operate with the Company in complying with its statutory obligations. Employees must be aware at all times of the responsibility that they have for both their own safety and the safety of others. Responsibility for implementation of this policy lies with Designer Group’s Managing Director, who ensures, through Senior Management, that the objectives of the policy are achieved

All Levels

This policy is communicated, implemented and maintained at all levels throughout Designer Group to ensure its continuing suitability and appropriateness. It is available to external interested parties upon request.
